Description
Eastern State Hospital, an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia, is conducting a request for information regarding vendors capable of supplying a broad range of individually packaged, over-the-counter snack items for patients. Vendors should maintain a retail storefront within 35 miles of the hospital and provide physical inventory or explain how the items would be sourced. The preferred ordering method is an eVA punchout catalog, or virtual storefront, developed in coordination with the Virginia Department of General Services for use by multiple hospital requisitioners. Vendors are asked to describe delivery methods and timing, inventory and item information, pricing, domestic-manufacturer sourcing, emergency fulfillment for damaged or incomplete orders needed in less than four hours, and the ability to identify dietary restrictions such as allergy sensitivities, kosher, and halal products. The RFI also asks whether the vendor is certified as a Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity micro or small business and requests recommendations for a potential future procurement.
