Description
The Town of Upton is soliciting bids from prequalified general contractors and subcontractors for a general construction project under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149. The project includes construction of a one-story administration office, a pre-engineered wash bay and mechanics bays, renovation of an existing pre-engineered garage, and associated phasing, sitework, and utilities. The Department of Public Works will remain fully occupied and operational during construction. Subcontractor categories include masonry, miscellaneous metals, woodwork and doors, glass and glazing, tile, acoustical ceiling tile, resilient flooring, painting, fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical. A DCAMM certificate is required for qualification. The estimated project cost is $14 million, with approximately 14 months of construction anticipated. Only prequalified firms may submit bids for their respective work categories.
