Description
The Village of Greenwood Lake, Orange County, New York, is proposing a local law to authorize a property tax levy in excess of the limit established under General Municipal Law SS3-c. This law would allow the Village to adopt a budget for the fiscal year starting June 1, 2026, that exceeds the tax levy limit. The law is adopted pursuant to subdivision 5 of General Municipal Law SS3-c and requires approval by a 60% vote of the Village Board. It includes standard provisions for severability, code preparation, and an immediate effective date upon filing with the Secretary of State.
