Description
Box Elder School District seeks a qualified independent auditor to serve as Audit Director and direct and perform internal audits. The work includes advising the District Audit Committee, establishing an internal audit program, assessing internal controls, risk, and operational efficiency, reviewing school checking accounts, reporting findings, and helping ensure audit issues are resolved. Services must follow applicable professional auditing standards. The annual audit work is expected to require 60–100 hours, with fieldwork between November 1 and March 30 and a report ready for presentation by June 1. The contractor must be available to travel between schools during daytime hours and attend evening committee meetings as needed. The qualifications response must describe the offeror’s profile and qualifications, proposed audit approach and procedures, relevant governmental or school audit experience and references, and a comprehensive not-to-exceed fee. The cost proposal must address a specified school audit scenario and provide a separate amount for each fiscal year audited. The fee evaluation scenario calls for a five-year not-to-exceed fee. Responses are limited to ten pages and must include five paper copies, one of which is also provided on a USB drive. A clearly marked redacted version is required if the offeror seeks to protect specific information from public disclosure.
