Description
The City of Downey is seeking a contractor to wash and detail approximately 320 fleet vehicles and pieces of equipment, including patrol vehicles, trucks, construction and agricultural equipment, specialty equipment, and passenger cars. Services include exterior washing, wheel and undercarriage cleaning, interior vacuuming and cleaning, upholstery and carpet extraction, leather conditioning, polishing and waxing, odor remediation, and sanitization. Specialized services include biological decontamination, emergency light-bar lens restoration, cleaning and polishing of non-vehicle items, custom window tinting, and upholstery repair or replacement. Standard washes must be completed within two to three hours and full details within 24 to 48 hours. The contractor must provide service tickets identifying the vehicle unit number, service date, and work performed, and must correct missed residue, streaks, or inadequate vacuuming within 24 hours. The contract term is three years with two optional one-year extensions, and the proposer must return the Non-Collusion Affidavit with its response.
