Description
The City of Glens Falls is soliciting proposals from qualified CPA firms to perform annual single audits of the City's financial statements and records for calendar years 2025, 2026, and 2027. The scope includes financial statement audits, opinions on financial statements, internal controls and compliance reporting, federal awards reporting, applicable state transportation assistance audits, schedules of expenditures of federal awards, management letters, and related notes and responses to findings. The selected auditor must have relevant municipal audit experience, including at least five years auditing at least two New York State municipalities with populations of at least 14,000. The engagement partner and fieldwork supervisor must meet specified CPA and municipal-audit experience requirements, with the supervisor physically present for at least 80% of fieldwork days. Proposals must include the firm's approach, qualifications, staffing, fees for all three years, at least three municipal references, the most recent external quality-control review report, and required certifications. Reports are to be delivered electronically and in three copies according to the stated annual deadlines.
