Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service requires construction of a new water main extension connected to an existing water distribution system. The work includes pipe, a water main connection, a water meter and vault, air/vacuum release valves, a gate valve and box, horizontal drilling, and an underground utility crossing. The project magnitude is estimated at $250,000 to $500,000. This is a presolicitation notice; the final solicitation package and pre-proposal site visit instructions are to be announced. The procurement is a firm-fixed-price contract under FAR Part 15, with award based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. The notice states requirements for a 20% bid bond and 100% payment and performance bonds. Work is to commence within 10 days of the Notice to Proceed and be completed by the date agreed upon at award.
