Description
The project renovates the Salisbury Theater by demolishing two existing mezzanines and rebuilding the spaces in a new configuration. Work includes construction of dressing rooms, a costume shop, a green room, and accessible restrooms, along with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire-suppression modifications to support the renovated areas and address code and accessibility requirements. Four additive alternates cover additional work, including a mechanical access catwalk, a catwalk and control-room platform, a Level 2 laundry area, and portable wood flooring in the green room. The stated construction range is $2,000,000 to $3,500,000. The project is solicited as a single lump-sum prime construction contract. The bid documents require bid security equal to at least 5% of the bid; payment and performance bonds are required after award, each for 100% of the contract sum.
