Description
Fairbanks North Star Borough Public Libraries seeks mobile broadband for its bookmobile, including service and any necessary equipment. The solution must provide coverage throughout the bookmobile’s service area, support up to 10 simultaneous users with expected speeds near 30 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload or faster, and provide a signal range of at least a 100-foot radius. It must support data, video, web conferencing, GPS, and vehicle security services. Proposals must include a detailed coverage map or other documentation showing coverage in the bookmobile’s current service area. The library requires month-to-month pricing, 24/7/365 support, a dashboard for device-location tracking and remote troubleshooting, and SPI discount billing. CIPA-compliant filtering is preferred. Proposals must identify all monthly and non-recurring charges; unspecified additional charges may result in disqualification. Service is needed beginning July 1, 2027. The proposal must also include the library name, Form 470 number, SPIN, service-provider terms and conditions, and the coverage map. Cost is the highest-weighted evaluation criterion, with service specifications, out-of-pocket costs, prior experience, and local support also considered.
