Description
The City of New Holstein is soliciting proposals from qualified engineering firms to study recurring stormwater flooding at the intersection of Calumet Drive and Plymouth Street and affected downstream areas. The scope includes historical infrastructure research, non-intrusive data gathering, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, analysis of existing storm sewers and culverts, capacity evaluation, and consideration of alternatives such as stormwater piping changes, detention ponds, and drainage ditches. The selected firm must prepare a final mitigation study comparing at least three viable alternatives, including proposed improvements, benefits, limitations, and cost estimates. The scope also includes three stakeholder meetings, monthly one-page progress reports with updated schedules and cost information, and support for submission of the selected approach to FEMA and Wisconsin Emergency Management. The solicitation requests a cover letter, company overview, stormwater experience examples, project understanding and approach, insurance information, exceptions, confidentiality and conflict-of-interest disclosures, authorized signature, and pricing. The estimated total budget is $26,565.
