Description
Calumet County is soliciting sealed bids for a Level 2 alteration and interior remodel of approximately 52,915 square feet on the second floor of its courthouse. The base bid includes demolition and construction of partition walls, ceilings, flooring, finishes, steel stud and gypsum board walls, CMU infill, carpeting, painting, restroom finishes, new openings, mechanical systems and unit replacements, plumbing systems and fixtures, electrical systems, and information technology work. The solicitation also includes alternates for stair remodeling, chiller integration, a future office remodel, storefront door and window replacement, unit replacement and exterior furring deducts. Bidders must submit a complete subcontractor list within 24 hours after the bid deadline. Each bid must include either a certified check or satisfactory bid bond equal to 10% of the bid; the successful bidder must furnish performance and labor-and-materials bonds equal to 100% of the contract amount.
