Description
The City seeks a contractor to provide labor, equipment, and materials for a complete retube and rebuild of one Superior boiler at its wastewater treatment plant. Work includes removing and disposing of existing tubes, installing 48 replacement boiler tubes, performing required welding and inspections, replacing damaged insulation, and returning the boiler to operation. The scope also includes removing the existing burner and installing a replacement burner with gas train, controls, piping, electrical work, and startup; installing a recirculation pipe, chemical injection system, and city water meter; and pricing an alternate water softener. Proposals must include qualifications and three references for similar projects completed within the past five years. The contract is fixed lump sum. Prevailing wage requirements apply if the award is at least $75,000.
