Description
Chesterfield County and Chesterfield County Public Schools seek on-call specialty welding services on a time-and-materials basis. Work includes on-site cutting, welding, fabrication, and repair of metal structures, machinery, and equipment, including carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. The contractor must provide labor, materials, tools, equipment, and travel; work must be performed by certified welders and comply with applicable AWS and ASME standards. The scope includes industrial and wastewater-treatment-plant work, with routine and emergency response requirements. The County intends to make multiple awards and assign work on a rotating basis. Bidders must provide hourly rates for certified welders and welder helpers, regular and overtime, and may list specialized equipment usage fees. The bid package also requests welding certifications, completed solicitation attachments, contractor licensing information, and at least three references. The initial contract term runs through December 31, 2027, with four successive one-year renewal options.
