Description
The Texas Workforce Commission is accepting applications from qualified providers for Project SEARCH services. Project SEARCH supports partnerships among employers, local school districts, vocational rehabilitation agencies, and other organizations serving individuals with disabilities, including intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program promotes stable, meaningful, integrated, and competitively compensated employment for vocational rehabilitation customers. The program operates over a full academic year and provides total immersion in a business environment. Each participant completes Asset Discovery, participates in three unpaid internship rotations to develop competitive, marketable, and transferable skills, and receives assistance securing permanent, long-term competitive employment.
