Description
The Incorporated Village of Freeport is soliciting bids for electrical construction for an extension to its police station and modifications to the existing building. The electrical scope includes demolition and installation of cellar and second-floor power systems, electrical panels, conduits, cables, connections, interior and exterior lighting, emergency power connections, telephone and data infrastructure, HVAC equipment connections, signage power, and related electrical details and riser work. The plans also identify lighting controls, including occupancy sensors, time-switch controls, daylight-responsive controls, exit signage, high-efficacy lighting, functional testing, and documentation requirements. The electrical contractor must perform the work in accordance with applicable New York State and local codes, and the plans state that electrical work must be performed by a licensed electrical contractor. A bidder’s bond or certified check of at least 5% of the bid is required.
