Description
This Sources Sought and Request for Information concerns the manufacture of 24 horizontal stabilizers for the F-16, identified as NSN 1560-01-619-8981 and part number 16T7461-835. The estimated delivery schedule is February 28, 2028, through January 28, 2029, with destination FB2029. Potential sources must demonstrate manufacturing, inspection, testing, packaging, storage, tooling, personnel, data, and quality capabilities; access to Lockheed Martin master tooling; and the ability to complete government-approved qualification testing. The manufacturer must submit a qualification test plan, test results, and a pre-contract-award qualification article at its own expense, with estimated qualification costs of $5,000 and an estimated qualification period of 270 days. The requirement is not expected to be set aside for small businesses, and qualification does not guarantee a contract award.
