Description
The University of the Fraser Valley is seeking one multidisciplinary consulting team to perform a comprehensive building-envelope condition assessment and feasibility study for 15 buildings across its Abbotsford and Chilliwack campuses. The work includes reviewing prior studies and records; assessing exterior walls, cladding, windows, glazing, skylights, exterior doors, roof-to-wall interfaces, patios above occupied spaces, and related weatherproofing; conducting field investigations, physical testing, and thermal imaging; developing an asset inventory; estimating remaining useful life; and identifying deficiencies, risks, and priority classifications. The consultant must develop targeted-repair, partial-renewal, and full-replacement options with Class D cost estimates, energy and greenhouse-gas benefits, preventative-maintenance recommendations, and a 5-to-10-year capital renewal, deferred-maintenance, and preventative-maintenance roadmap. Deliverables include a field investigation work plan, a final report, editable asset inventory and roadmap spreadsheets, editable cost estimates, and PDF and editable Word versions of the final report. The assignment must be completed no later than January 2027 and includes stakeholder meetings, review cycles, and a final presentation.
