Description
The City of Hot Springs, through its Engineering and Utilities Department, is soliciting bids from contractors to provide labor, equipment, and materials for as-needed street cuts and pavement repairs throughout the city. The scope includes work-zone safety and traffic control; job preparation, excavation, disposal, grading, and compaction; square-up cutting of asphalt and concrete; concrete or flowable-fill T-caps; sidewalk, curb, and gutter replacement; ADA wheelchair ramps; and asphalt restoration. Contractors must coordinate with utilities and property owners, maintain access, provide temporary pedestrian and vehicle routes, comply with MUTCD requirements, and perform the work in accordance with City standards, Ordinance 6250, and applicable Arkansas Department of Transportation standards. The procurement may result in contracts with multiple contractors or a single contractor. The term is one year with four additional 12-month terms, subject to annual budget approval, and renews annually unless canceled with 30 days' written notice. Bidders must submit pricing through the electronic procurement portal or by sealed paper bid, along with the required bid forms, insurance certificate, Arkansas commercial contractor licensing certificate, and other requested business-registration information. Bids exceeding $35,000 require five-percent bid security, and contracts exceeding $35,000 require payment and performance bonds for 100 percent of the contract sum.
