Description
The project involves approximately 4,000 linear feet of shared-use path construction from Spring Street to Westinghouse Drive. Work includes approximately 1,200 tons of asphaltic pavement, 1,150 tons of aggregate base course, 220 square yards of Portland cement concrete base, 1,350 linear feet of curb and gutter, excavation and fill, reinforced concrete pipe culverts, seeding, solid sodding, fencing, retaining wall construction, pavement striping, and installation of roadside signs. The work will be performed under a single prime contract on a unit-price basis. Bidders must complete Document 00 45 13, Qualification Statement. Davis-Bacon Act wage requirements apply. A bid guarantee of five percent of the total maximum bid price is required, payable either as a cashier's or certified check or as a bid bond. The successful bidder must furnish performance, payment, and maintenance bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price.
