Travis County is soliciting construction bids for the Old Manor Road Safety Improvements project in Precinct 1. The work includes right-of-way preparation, excavation and embankment, cement-treated roadway materials, asphalt paving, concrete driveways, drainage structures and reinforced concrete pipe, culverts, wingwalls, erosion and sediment controls, traffic handling, portable barriers and message signs, guardrails, fencing, mailbox relocation or installation, traffic signs, pavement markings, raised pavement markers, revegetation, utility coordination, and project signage. Additive alternates include additional roadway work and City of Austin waterline and appurtenance improvements. The contractor must complete the work within 265 calendar days after receiving the Notice to Proceed. The project requires a bid bond or certified/cashier's check of at least 5% of the total bid. Because the estimated value exceeds statutory thresholds, performance and payment bonds will be required after award. The solicitation also requires safety, ethics, HUB-program, debarment, stormwater, workers' compensation, and other construction compliance documentation, as well as specified insurance coverage and ongoing project-management, scheduling, inspection, traffic-control, and environmental obligations.
