Description
The U.S. Consulate General Cape Town is soliciting a firm-fixed-price quotation for site preparation, excavation and trenching, installation of government-furnished underground conduits and handholes, protection of existing utilities, backfilling, compaction, surface reinstatement, waste removal, and final cleanup. The contractor must furnish labor, supervision, equipment, tools, transportation, safety measures, consumables, and other materials not supplied by the Government. The scope also includes extending thirteen existing perimeter fence posts to accommodate security cameras. Quotations must include a technical approach, at least two comparable completed projects with contactable references, active Construction Industry Development Board registration at minimum grading designation 3, evidence of an ECSA-registered civil engineer or professional engineering technologist, qualified site-management personnel, a project schedule, preliminary health-and-safety methodology, a completed pricing schedule in South African Rand with VAT separately identified, and a completed Express NDAA Certificate for Vendor Compliance. The DBA insurance premium must be separately priced under CLIN 0009 and included in the total firm-fixed price. Award is expected to be made to the lowest-priced technically acceptable offeror, with completion required within four to six weeks after authorized commencement.
