Description
Deerfield Unified District 216 is requesting competitive bids for two load-balanced Category 1 Internet access circuits. Vendors must provide pricing for 1 Gbps, 2 Gbps, and 5 Gbps bandwidth options under one-, two-, and three-year contract terms. Proposed services must interoperate with the district’s existing network infrastructure; any required interface equipment must be included and separately priced. Installation, activation, initial construction, taxes, surcharges, regulatory fees, and other one-time costs must be itemized. Proposals must provide detailed E-Rate Item 21-compatible pricing that separates eligible and ineligible costs. Equipment must be new, and bidders must hold active authorized reseller status from the manufacturer. The district will primarily evaluate the cost of eligible services, while also considering technical merit, references, prior vendor experience, and proposal quality. Final commitment is contingent on school board approval and receipt of an E-Rate Funding Commitment Decision Letter.
