Description
Summit Public Schools Board of Education is soliciting sealed, lump-sum bids for the replacement in kind of an existing 150 kW natural-gas generator at Lawton C. Johnson Middle School. The work also includes replacing the associated transfer switch, replacing existing wiring within conduits, and repairing the existing concrete slab and fence where required. Bidders must meet applicable New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction prequalification requirements, including general construction, alterations/additions, or electrical classifications, and must provide required prequalification, ownership, debarment, registration, bid-security, and surety-consent documentation. The bid security must be a bid bond or certified/cashier’s check equal to 10% of the bid amount, capped at $20,000. The successful bidder will furnish additional bonds specified in the bidding instructions. A nonmandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled, and bids may be submitted in person, by mail, or by delivery service; electronic and facsimile submissions are not accepted.
