Description
The City of Inglewood is soliciting a lump-sum contractor to renovate the third and eighth floors of Inglewood City Hall. The eighth-floor scope includes demolition; new interior partitions and doors; acoustical ceiling tile and grid replacement; painting; wall base; carpet and luxury vinyl tile flooring; light mechanical and electrical modifications; plumbing for one new sink; and related coordination, protection, testing, cleaning, and legal disposal of construction debris. The third-floor scope includes painting, wall base, carpet, luxury vinyl tile flooring, and related work. The project also requires all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete the work in accordance with the approved plans and specifications. The estimated bid value is $1,592,000, with an 80-working-day project duration. Bidders must hold a California Class B contractor license, provide required insurance, and submit a 10% bid bond; 100% payment and performance bonds are also required. The bid is a lump-sum paper submission, and the solicitation includes a California contractor-license requirement and liquidated damages of $1,500 per calendar day.
