Description
The City of Ceres is requesting qualifications from architectural firms to provide comprehensive multidisciplinary architectural and engineering services for the remodel of the former courthouse at 2744 2nd Street. The scope includes existing-condition assessment, programming and space planning, hazardous-materials and abatement coordination, schematic and detailed design, code and accessibility analysis, permit-ready and bid-ready plans and specifications, cost estimating, agency coordination, bidding support, and construction administration through closeout. The selected consultant must lead qualified architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, accessibility, hazardous-materials, cost-estimating, and other specialty disciplines as needed. The project must address identified asbestos-containing materials and lead-containing coatings, as well as accessibility, life safety, energy requirements, existing building systems, constructability, and long-term municipal operations. Responses are qualifications-based: the main Statement of Qualifications may not include fee information, while a completed cost proposal must be submitted concurrently in a separate sealed envelope. The SOQ is limited to 25 pages, excluding covers, table of contents, required forms, and resumes, and must include firm qualifications, team information, at least five comparable projects completed or substantially completed within the last ten years, project approach, risk management, schedule and availability, quality control, references, exceptions, and a sample set of similar plans and specifications.
