Description
The City of Sumter is seeking bids for waterworks supplies for Fiscal Year 2027. This is an annual invitation to bid, and all prices quoted will remain valid for one year from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. Bidders must specify per-unit costs where applicable and clearly note any deviations from the requested specifications. Delivery charges and taxes must be listed separately. All bids must be received by David Ferrell no later than Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 2:15 PM ET at the City of Sumter Public Works. Bids submitted via email or fax will be rejected. Key requirements include providing a Certificate of Insurance prior to the start of work, listing the City of Sumter as an additional insured, and maintaining Worker's Compensation and General Liability insurance. Specific coverage limits are detailed, including $1,000,000.00 per occurrence for Commercial General Liability and Motor Vehicle Liability, and $100,000/$100,000/$500,000 for Employer's Liability. Subcontractors must also meet similar insurance requirements. The City reserves the right to award proposals on an item-by-item basis, groups of items, or the entire list, and to reject any or all proposals.
