The U.S. Army is planning a retrofit of exterior and egress locking hardware at Building 768. The work includes removing obsolete hardware and supplying and installing DoD-approved 10-pin electronic cipher locks, vertical-rod panic exit devices, mortise locksets, SFIC cores and keys, standard and custom bullet-resistant conversion plates, and extended override tailpieces. The scope specifies 17 cipher lock installations, including 12 exit-device openings and five controlled-entry openings, as well as 20 vertical locking bar assemblies and custom hardware for bullet-resistant doors. Installation must be performed by GSA-certified lock technicians and includes door-by-door verification, hardware fitting and adjustment, core pinning, functional and egress testing, key custody turnover, cleanup, and delivery of programming guides, operator references, and warranty certification. This is a presolicitation notice; the notice says not to submit a quote at this time.
