Description
Montana State University is considering awarding a sole-source purchase or contract to Cytec Engineered Materials Inc. for CYCOM 977-3 epoxy resin in resin-brick form. The material must be qualified for use on U.S. military aircraft and meet specified performance requirements, including 177°C dry and 270°C wet service capability, cured neat resin density of 80.5 pcf, compressive yield of 27 ± 0.3 ksi, room-temperature out life exceeding 30 days, and resin viscosity below 30 Poise at a 250°F dwell temperature. This is an intent-to-sole-source notice rather than a request for competitive proposals. Vendors that believe they can provide an equivalent product or service must submit a detailed written description explaining how their offering meets all stated requirements through the eMACS procurement system by the deadline.
