Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Engineering Research and Development Center seeks an imaging sonar system for coastal-restoration research through a notice of intent to sole-source. The requirement specifies one ARIS 1800 Adaptive Resolution Imaging Sonar, Dual, including the ARIS Command Module, sonar power supply, Ethernet and 15-meter underwater cables, ARIScope and ARISFish software, topside GPS receiver, transit case, operator’s manual, and a 12-month warranty. The requirement also includes 60-meter and 30-meter cable reels with transit cases. An optional AR3 three-axis, 300-meter-depth-rated rotator package is identified, including its joystick, cable, mounting brackets, power supply, transit case, operator’s manual, and 12-month warranty. The notice states that the technology is proprietary and patented by Ocean Marine Industries, Inc.; it is not a request for competitive quotations, but capable parties may submit a capability statement for consideration of the acquisition strategy.
