Description
The Joint Electromagnetic Warfare Center (JEWC) at Joint Base San Antonio requires a self-contained, mobile, and secure data destruction system. This system must be capable of completely sanitizing and physically destroying both magnetic and solid-state hard drives in accordance with National Security Agency (NSA) standards for handling Top Secret data. The system must also provide a complete, verifiable audit trail of the erasure and destruction process. The current methods for destroying classified and sensitive data storage media are considered inadequate, posing a significant operational security risk. The required system includes an NSA/CSS listed Top Secret degausser, an NSA/CSS listed hard drive destroyer, an enclosed destruction cart, and an erasure/destruction verification system. The system must be TAA compliant and certified to various safety standards. The delivery address for the equipment is JEWC, 2 Hall Blvd, Suite 116, San Antonio, TX 78243.
