The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) is soliciting bids for the Lonergan Intake Facility (Shaft 8) Walkway and Wall Improvements Project (MWRA Contract No. 8138). This project involves general building construction, including interior and exterior modifications. Interior work includes replacing existing suspended walkways, installing new walkway segments, replacing a fixed ladder, and replacing embedded stop log frame and cover assemblies within the Well Room. Exterior modifications include replacing the existing retaining wall between the Intake and Service Buildings, replacing existing stairways for sampling platforms, and modifying the existing guardrail adjacent to the Intake Building. The estimated project cost is $1,886,258.00. This contract is subject to a 7.24% MBE and a 3.6% WBE participation requirement.
