Description
The City seeks a licensed North Carolina contractor to construct flat-top and parabolic bituminous asphalt speed humps at specified street locations. The work includes asphalt materials and installation, traffic control, and pavement markings, in accordance with the City’s standard details and applicable North Carolina Department of Transportation specifications. The bid schedule lists 23 speed humps across seven line items, plus a contingency allowance. The contractor must submit a traffic control plan for approval before work begins, maintain traffic during construction, and complete the work within 30 consecutive calendar days from the “Commence Work” date in the Notice to Proceed. No bid bond is required. The successful bidder must provide the required insurance after award; bidders must submit the bid form, bidder references, subcontractor information, contractor license information, and the required affidavits with their bid.
