Description
The North Carolina Department of Transportation seeks a prequalified contractor to mow vegetation along state highway shoulders and medians and remove litter and debris on designated routes in Davidson County. Work includes routine and cleanup mowing, litter pickup on primary routes, on-call litter removal, and related traffic control. The contractor must provide the required equipment, labor, transportation, and GPS tracking capabilities, and comply with specified mowing cycles, safety requirements, and work-hour restrictions. The initial contract term runs from March 1, 2027, through February 29, 2028, with up to four discretionary renewals. Bidders must be prequalified and attend the mandatory pre-bid conference to be eligible. The bid package requires three references for similar work performed during the prior three years, equipment information, and the applicable bid forms and certifications. One signed original and one signed copy must be physically delivered by the deadline.
