The Alabama Community College System is soliciting sealed proposals from previously prequalified general contractors for workforce building renovations at Wallace Community College. General contractors must complete the prequalification process by October 9, 2026, be properly licensed under Alabama requirements, and attend the mandatory pre-bid conference to remain eligible to submit a proposal. Bids must include a cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Alabama Community College System for at least 5% of the bid amount, capped at $10,000. The project is bid excluding taxes and requires the ACCS Form 5-A Accounting of Sales Tax Attachment with the ACCS Form 5-E Proposal Form. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds, as well as required insurance, will be required at contract signing. Bid documents are distributed electronically only to prequalified general contractors; subcontractors and vendors must obtain documents through a prequalified general contractor or plan room.
