Description
Parks Canada Agency requires a contractor to construct a new electrical distribution system at the Riding Mountain National Park Maintenance Compound. The work includes furnishing labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and related services; installing underground conduits and electrical distribution lines; completing electrical connections; installing panels, transformers, disconnects, power centers, pull pits, wall boxes, concrete equipment pads, and related infrastructure; reconnecting existing circuits; coordinating service work with Manitoba Hydro; and demolishing or disconnecting superseded electrical equipment. Fiber-optic cable installation itself is excluded, although associated conduits and pull pits are included. The contractor must provide construction supervision, progress reporting, project meetings, shop drawings, testing, as-built drawings, operation and maintenance information, and required inspections and approvals. The bid uses a two-submission procedure: an Indigenous Participation Plan and associated supporting documents in Submission 1, and the Bid and Acceptance Form in Submission 2. The work must be completed by March 15, 2027. Bid and contract security are expressly not required, while insurance is required after award and includes commercial general liability and builder’s risk/installation floater coverage.
