Description
The Town of Penfield is soliciting bids for a sidewalk extension project on Plank Road that includes extending an existing 3-foot-high by 5-foot-wide box culvert by 15 feet. Work includes removing the existing headwall and wing walls, installing a matching precast or cast-in-place culvert extension with headwall, wing walls, toe wall, cutoff wall, steel connections, joint grouting, and waterproofing membrane. The project also includes excavation, stone subbase and fill, temporary dewatering and maintenance of channel flow, erosion and sediment controls, topsoil, hydroseeding, landscaping, and related site restoration. Contractor-developed structural plans and details must be prepared and stamped by a professional engineer licensed in New York State, with load-rating calculations submitted for approval. The plans identify the Town of Penfield and Monroe County as project stakeholders and reference New York State Department of Transportation specifications.
