Description
The City seeks licensed and insured contractors to provide tree removal, pruning, trimming, shaping, and hazard tree assessments at city streets and parks. Work is requested as needed, with routine and urgent response categories; contractors bidding on emergency work must be able to respond within one hour of the initial call. A certified arborist must perform or supervise onsite work. Contractors are responsible for safe work-zone and traffic control, debris removal, and restoring damage caused by their work. Coe Memorial Park is excluded from the current scope but may be added later. Proposals must include rates for the specified tree removal, pruning, emergency work, and hazard assessment categories, at least three references, and the names and certification numbers of the arborists or tree workers who will perform or supervise the work. A bid bond or certified check equal to 5% of the total bid is required with the bid. The contract runs from December 2026 through June 30, 2028, with up to four additional one-year renewals by mutual agreement.
