Description
The U.S. Coast Guard seeks dockside repair services for the No. 2 Caterpillar 3512B ship service diesel generator aboard the USCGC Midgett. Work includes a major engine overhaul and failure analysis, a hot lube oil flush, and crankshaft renewal, along with associated disassembly, inspection, repair, testing, and commissioning. The contractor must furnish the labor, equipment, tools, consumables, and parts required, except for government-furnished property identified in the specifications. The contractor must be an authorized/licensed Caterpillar Marine dealership, and an authorized Caterpillar technical representative must be onsite for specified overhaul and testing activities. The quote must include a work plan for the oil flush, a graphical project schedule, a technical-capability narrative, relevant past-performance information, and the completed pricing schedule. The solicitation is set aside for small businesses.
