Description
The U.S. Air Force requires two new motorized chain-link gates for a munitions area: one gate measuring 21 feet by 7 feet and one measuring 25 feet by 7 feet, each with a round metal frame, motorized opening and closing, and keypad access for drivers. The contractor must furnish all equipment, labor, supervision, and materials, including two gate motors, delivery and pickup of rented items, maintenance and refueling of rental items, certifications, drawings, and manufacturer warranties. The work includes electrical power connections from existing building panels, below-grade duct installation that may require concrete or asphalt cutting, facility assessment, breaker labeling, fire stopping, underground utility locating, and coordination with Civil Engineering and base personnel. Electrical work must be performed by a certified electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 and applicable codes. The contractor must attend the scheduled site visit, complete startup and commissioning within one day of contract execution, and complete the work within 60 calendar days. The solicitation will be awarded to the lowest-priced responsive small-business contractor whose manufacturer specifications demonstrate compliance with the requirements.
