Description
The Kenai Peninsula Borough is soliciting a firm-price bid for repairs to Chakok Road Bridge using Borough-provided design and construction documents. The scope includes furnishing all labor and materials, implementing the specified bridge repairs, obtaining required permits, complying with federal, state, and local requirements, and completing the work within 365 days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Substantial completion is required by February 28, 2027. The contractor must provide traffic maintenance and an approved traffic control plan, including public and emergency-service notifications, signage, alternate routing, and safe bridge-crossing arrangements. Bridge closures are restricted to specified nighttime periods. The work is subject to Alaska Title 36 prevailing-wage requirements and includes erosion, sediment, pollution, stormwater, utility coordination, seeding, and related construction controls. Bidders must submit the Bid Form, bid schedule if applicable, Tax Compliance Certificate, and applicable bid bond; performance and payment bonds are required for contracts of $100,000 or more, while certificates of insurance are required before contract execution.
