Description
The Arkansas Department of Transportation is soliciting security services for its District 4 Headquarters and Bobby Hopper Tunnel operations. The scope includes continuous security guarding during non-business hours; protection of property and facilities; visitor access control; telephone and radio communications; event logging; security checks; video monitoring; emergency notifications; service-station access support; and monitoring and operation of the Bobby Hopper Tunnel systems. Guards must remain unarmed and receive ARDOT training before working alone. The contractor must provide Workers' Compensation, public liability, property damage, and coverage for breakage or pilferage of ARDOT and employee property. Each assigned employee must be bonded, and the contractor must furnish background-investigation and drug-test documentation before service begins. The contractor must maintain an established office with a local contact within 70 miles of District 4 Headquarters. The estimated workload is approximately 6,400 hours per year, with bids evaluated using base and renewal-year hourly rates. The contract expires October 30, 2027, and may be extended for up to six additional one-year periods.
