Description
The Arkansas Department of Transportation is procuring custom tubular steel transmission-line structures and associated materials for the Southwest Power Administration I-49 relocation project in Crawford County. The scope includes design, shop detailing, fabrication, galvanization, shipping, and delivery of six concrete-caisson-supported base-plated steel poles forming two three-pole dead-end structures, plus two H-frame steel poles. Required components include crossarms, davit arms, vangs, brackets, bolts, locknuts, step bolts, ladder clips, anchor bolts, base plates, grounding attachments, OPGW and conductor hardware, and other assembly materials shown in the drawings. The supplier must provide design calculations, PLS-Pole files, fabrication and erection drawings, bills of material, quality-control and nondestructive weld inspections, applicable certifications, protective coatings, packaging, and delivery to the designated storage yard. The project documents specify compliance with ASCE Standard 48, applicable ASTM and AWS standards, NESC loading requirements, Buy America requirements for covered construction materials, and detailed requirements for foundations, grounding, galvanizing, shipping, and inspection. The bid is for material procurement and delivery; the solicitation does not state a total budget or contract period.
