Description
The State of Rhode Island is establishing an Open Enrollment Master Price Agreement qualified vendor list for emergency vehicle lighting and related public-safety equipment. The scope includes furnishing, installing, removing, repairing, replacing, programming, testing, inspecting, and supporting Whelen products and compatible components for emergency response, transportation, and other state agency vehicles. Services may include new-vehicle upfitting, equipment transfers, warranty repairs, loaner equipment, drop-shipped vehicle preparation, and return-to-service support. Bidders must be authorized Whelen distributors, provide labor rates for three base years and two option years, and submit current Emergency Vehicle Technician certification documentation for applicable technicians. Service locations must be in Rhode Island or within 100 miles of the Rhode Island border. Subcontracting is permitted if proposed subcontractors and their applicable EVT-certified technicians are identified. Appendix A must be completed and uploaded, along with the required manufacturer authorization letter and technician certification documentation. Proposals are evaluated on a pass/fail basis for licensing, labor rates, EVT certification, and subcontractor information.
