Description
The City of St. Albert intends to award a contract valued at $20,990 excluding GST for specialized telecommunications services to expand and verify its municipal area network. The scope includes installing high-capacity 144-count fibre optic strands along primary transit routes connecting two facilities to the City's primary hub through two pathways, performing strand pushes at up to 10 exterior vaults, and conducting bidirectional Optical Time Domain Reflectometer and Optical Loss Test Set power-meter testing on newly established links. The contractor must be authorized and qualified to install, maintain, and repair Corning fibre optic cable systems; comply with Corning specifications and applicable 25-year warranty requirements; provide as-built route drawings, patch-panel layouts, port assignments, and fibre test records; complete acceptance testing; and demonstrate comparable experience on active municipal, utility, or enterprise networks. The notice is an intent to award to Chermik Technical Services Ltd., but other vendors may submit a Statement of Capabilities through the bidding system.
