Description
The City of Winston-Salem is seeking a private engineering firm to design a pipe storage building at the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Utilities Field Operations facility. The proposed structure will be open at the front, enclosed on three sides, roofed, approximately 28 feet deep and either 50 or 73 feet wide, and used to store 20-foot lengths of PVC and ductile iron pipe on cantilever racks. The scope includes design of a minimum 24-foot-wide paved driveway, concrete apron, building foundation pad, storage structure, site grading and drainage, and evaluation and design of a retaining wall if needed for the existing hillside. Respondents must submit a Letter of Interest and Statement of Qualifications without fee information. The submission is limited to 20 pages, including the cover sheet, and must address team qualifications, project understanding, proposed schedule, similar work completed within the past five years, organizational resources, resumes, and a plan of action. The selected firm will negotiate a professional services agreement and fee after selection.
