Description
Forsyth County is soliciting construction services to provide all materials, equipment, and labor for widening and reconstructing Post Road from SR 9/S. Atlanta Road to CR 5/Kelly Mill Road. The proposed roadway will have two lanes in each direction, a 16-foot raised median, a 19-foot urban shoulder with a 10-foot multi-use path on the east side, and a 10-foot urban shoulder with curb, gutter, and 5-foot sidewalks on the west side. The work includes roadway paving; drainage structures and storm drainpipes; water and sewer lines and appurtenances; traffic signals, lighting at pedestrian crossings, and pavement markings; landscaping; erosion, sedimentation, and pollution control; demolition; fencing; culverts; retaining walls; guardrails; jack-and-bore work; and associated construction. Addendum 6 requires as-built record drawings in PDF and DGN formats, signed and sealed by a Georgia-registered professional engineer or land surveyor, and establishes asphalt mix requirements of at least 5.2% asphalt cement, with surface-course mixes limited to 20% reclaimed asphalt pavement.
