Description
Coastal Carolina University seeks one research-grade, binocular compound microscope configured for transmitted-light biological research and Differential Interference Contrast (DIC) imaging. The required configuration includes a trinocular stand and observation head, integrated illumination, mechanical X-Y stage, reversed sextuple nosepiece, and objectives equivalent to 4x Plan Fluorite, 10x Plan Fluorite, 20x Plan Apochromat, 40x Plan Fluorite, and 100x Plan Fluorite oil immersion. The complete DIC system must include a suitable condenser, analyzer, Nomarski slider or equivalent, objective-specific prisms, and all accessories needed for operation upon installation. The microscope must be compatible with the University's existing Jenoptik Gryphax NAOS 20MP Color Digital Camera, including all required adapters, mounts, couplers, and accessories. Olympus BX51 DIC or an approved equal is specified. New, refurbished, reconditioned, or used equipment may be offered, provided it is professionally serviced, fully operational, meets all specifications, and passes the stated inspection, servicing, operational, optical-quality, and acceptance-testing requirements. Pricing must include the microscope, components, camera compatibility accessories, packaging, shipping, handling, and other applicable charges. The offer must include the manufacturer's latest literature showing complete product specifications, three references with names and email addresses substantiating relevant past performance, and a minimum 90-day parts-and-labor warranty.
