Description
Bamberg County is soliciting sealed bids for approximately 1,276 linear feet of 8-foot galvanized chain-link fence with bottom-locking privacy slats providing at least 85% opacity. The work includes five 16-foot openings, one 24-foot opening fitted with a 96-inch manually operated sliding gate, and all associated gate hardware, posts, braces, tension rods, and fittings. The gate will not include an operator, motor, access-control equipment, or electrical service. The contractor must also perform associated clearing, grubbing, minor grading, disposal, stabilization, erosion and sediment control, traffic control, utility-conflict verification, and compliance with the South Carolina Department of Transportation right-of-way and permit requirements. Bidders must separately price materials and installation, provide proposed slat product data and a color chart, submit a project schedule and warranties, and furnish 5% bid security. Separate performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract price, are required. Substantial completion is required within 60 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, with final completion within 75 calendar days.
