Description
The City of Meridian is soliciting bids for 50% citric acid solution used to clean tertiary filters at its wastewater resource recovery facility. The product must be a stable, colorless to light-yellow liquid meeting specified concentration, density, solubility, freezing-point, and contamination requirements. The estimated annual usage is 4,320 gallons, based on 270-gallon tote shipments, although quantities may increase or decrease during the contract term. The supplier must include delivery charges, deliver orders within five to seven days, maintain sufficient year-round inventory, provide a certificate of analysis with the bid and each delivery, and supply a 24-hour emergency phone number. The agreement is effective upon execution and expires September 30, 2027, with up to four additional one-year extensions by mutual agreement. A 5% bid bond is required, and the successful supplier must provide specified general liability, automobile liability, and workers’ compensation insurance.
