Description
SouthWest Transit seeks a qualified auditing firm or certified public accountant to audit and prepare its financial statements for fiscal years 2026 through 2030. Services must comply with generally accepted auditing standards, Government Auditing Standards, applicable GASB accounting standards, and the Minnesota Legal Compliance Audit Guide for Local Governments. The scope includes ongoing advisory support, assistance with accounting questions, preparation of confirmation letters and journal entries, evaluation and reporting of internal controls and compliance, preparation of financial statements and related reports, schedules of findings and questioned costs, management letters, and timely submission of annual reports to the Federal Transit Administration and the State Auditor's Office. Proposals will be evaluated on company overview, methodology and approach, team qualifications, similar work examples, references, scope, cost, and overall quality. The proposal must include contact information for at least three current or past clients.
